Documentary Subject: DeVonte Glass

DeVonte Glass is a queer, intersectional feminist who attends IUSB. DeVonte grew up in Gary, Indiana and is a senior majoring in Music Performance. He enjoys reading, playing piano, singing, socializing with friends/family, participating in club events and attending club meetings.

This interview could be used in a documentary to give a voice/platform to queer people of color who are often excluded from the conversation when it comes to the LGBTQ+ community. This could inspire young/old queer people of color who often aren't recognized and who have struggled in their own communities. This documentary could be used to give a genuine perspective and to educate those who are not familiar of the struggles one must face when being gay and a person of color.
